Description: Confirmation picture of young girls on October 30, 1897. Sitting from left is Ida. She was Marie Theodora Siqueland's 1862-1911 foster child.
Antsahamanitra Girls' School was established in 1872 by Johanna Borchgrevink 1836-1924 and led by her until 1912. Hundreds of Malagasy girls were taken care of and given education during this long period.
