Photograph caption dated December 5, 1942 reads, "Glenda Farrell, vivacious blonde star of stage and screen, and her husband, Major Henry Ross, Army flight surgeon, were at the Ambassador's Cocoanut Grove--intent on the floor-show during time-out from dancing to Freddy martin's music--when the above picture was snapped. Glenda obtained release from New York stage commitments to train to Hollywood and be with the Major while he is stationed in the Southland. They have taken a house at Laguna Beach."
