Description
Photograph of lines of women workers in an electronics factory, showing some working on large disks, ca.1950. At center in the foreground, a group of four women can be seen standing beside a large table. Stools can be seen standing beside the two women on the left. In front of the women mounted to the table, large lightly-colored disks can be seen. A series of wires and other electronic equipment has been attached to the front of the disk. At the top of the disk, small papers or even groups of pages in some cases can be seen. In front of the women in the next row, three more women can be seen working on the large disks. To the right of these workers, two men can be seen standing and observing the work. Further in the background, additional employees can be seen sitting in small chairs and working on small pieces of hardware. In the extreme background to the left, a large circular clock can be seen attached to a large panel. To the left of the panel, a board can be seen. To the far right, more parts of the factory and several overhead lights are visible.
