Description
Caption from February 28, 1984 Sacramento Bee reads "Aerojet TechSystems Co. of Sacramento demonstrated a new industrial firefighting system Monday and announced the first sale. Two AERO-SAFE systems will be built under a $1.5 million contract for the Port of Rotterdam, Europe's leading supertanker port and site of several of the world's largest oil refineries. The system can throw more the 12,000 gallons of water and fire suppressant chemicals per minute up to 600 feet. The system can drown oil fires, cooling them by 1,000 degrees in 20 seconds."
