Vertol Aircraft Corporation was later named Piasecki Helicopter Corporation.
Photograph caption dated June 12, 1958 reads "Visitors at Van Nuys Airport gather around Vertol 44 helicopter transport which demonstrated its aerial versatility by lifting power lines, water tanks for fighting forest fires and carrying 19 passengers. Huge helicopter is built by Vertol Aircraft Corp. of Morton, Pa., which flew it to California for West Coast debut."
