The Reduction Works "Hacienda de Beneficio". The Hacienda mine office with its cupola is in the lower left corner of the photo. Quicksilver furnaces Nos 1 and 2 is the structure in the top left. The "Hacienda de Beneficio" translates to "Reduction Works," as the furnaceyard at the Hacienda was commonly known (Lanyon & Bulmore, 103). The furnaces here roasted the ore that came out of the mines, transported by the tramways on the hill to the right (Lanyon & Bulmore, 102). Front view of the entire "Hacienda de Beneficio," or the Reduction Works. The Hacienda mine office with its cupola is in the lower left corner of the photo.
