Description
No event in the history of Santa Clara in any degree approaches the splendor and enthusiasm which marked the Golden Jubilee. It was a celebration remarkable for the attention it attracted throughout the State, and because its success was, in some measure, due to the spontaneous co-operation of an entire community.Constant association and an intimate acquaintance with its potency as a factor in the welfare of the community has engendered in the citizens of Santa Clara a love for the pioneer institution of learning which has increased with the advancing years.
