Description: College boys and girls sit and listen to the music in the Lighthouse, home of modern jazz on the west coast. "This is a place to relax," says one official. The Lighthouse at the end of a pier in Hermosa Beach will open its annual Easter Week Inter-Collegiate Jazz Festival. It's a project to encourage young collegiate talent. Photo dated: March 21, 1959.
