Camp Pendleton, Calif: Mrs. Betty Ford visits with former South Vietnamese vice president Nguyen Cao Ky in his tent in 'Little Saigon,' the northwest section of this sprawling marine training base where Ky and about 18,000 Vietnamese refugees are housed awaiting their disposition. The First Lady visited the area on a surprise trip at the end of her four-day tour of Southern California. In center is Base Comdr. Brig. Gen. Paul C. Graham.
