Photograph caption dated August 13, 1957 reads "Final test. Claycamp helps Wendy into car for test run. In background, Jimmy eases into padded seat and checks simplified controls which protect safety of youngsters. In two years in business, Claycamp has yet to see an accident with tiny cars." Quarter midget racing cars, one quarter the size of Indianapolis racers, are produced in North Hollywood by Clay Claycamp, owner of Speedway Manufacturing Company, 11111 Chandler Boulevard.
