Description
Booth Tarkington, 1100 North Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, letter, 1921 February 26, to Hamlin Garland. "This seems almost disastrously[?], my busiest year: a revenue field agent came and sat with me -- poor man! -- for three weeks, going over all my tax returns washed[?] out three weeks -- my best working three weeks in the year -- and I'm in a bad way for I have a series of eight stories, begun in January, to complete, three plays to begin and finish and I am to rewrite before July." -- first line.
