Description: This is Alhambra's Main Street of today, looking from Garfield Avenue. Thomas D'Arcy Quinn, mayor of Alhambra, said: "We are one of the very few cities in Southern California that is not a member of the Metropolitan Water District. All our water still comes from the wells." Alhambrans are proud of their city. Phto dated: January 8, 1955.
