Description: This circa-1950 photograph shows Chandler’s Shoes at 1022 K St. It shows much of the business’s storefront and a worker filling a section of display windows. Chandler’s – a nationwide chain – came to Sacramento in 1922. The seller of high-end shoes and accessories expanded its operations to suburban Sacramento in 1961, with a new store at Country Club Plaza at Watt and El Camino avenues.
