Description
Early cannery workers ranging in age from teenager to older woman, posing for photo inside a fruit packing plant, surrounded by a wooden conveyor system. Three women are standing on the left, in front of a ladder that appears to transport whole fruit. Men and teenage boys are sitting on scaffolding in the center, while seven women work below packing fruit into crates. Fruit is likely citrus. "A. C. & G. Fruit Exchange" printed on boxes [the Azusa-Covina-Glendora Fruit Exchange of Southern California]. The label features a pointer dog [the pointer label was for first grade fruit].
