Description
Photograph caption dated February 25, 1958 reads, "Wham! It's a strike - Speeding ball crashes into pins for what turned out to be a perfect strike for Terry Ewen. Ball and pins are 'frozen' in mind-action by stroboscopic speed flash on camera operating at 1/1000 of a second. Soon after ball hits padded back-stop, pinsetter clears alley, shoots ball back to bowler and set up again. When ball fails to knock down all pins machine clears away downed pins and resets correct number for next line."; See images #00145393 through #00145399 for all photos in this series.
