Photograph caption dated February 29, 1960 reads, "Mr. and Mrs. Harold Carter, left, get some technical information on respirator they gave to Burbank Hospital. Accepting gift on behalf of hospital is Dr. Robert N. Landau, secretary-treasurer of medical staff. Carter explained that money for purchase of new equipment came from money his firm, Production Machinery Sales, Inc., ordinarily spent on Christmas cards. Carter holds rubber balloon which simulates lungs of patient."
