Photograph of the new State Building, seen from a distance, October 1931. In the foreground at center, patches of lawn can be seen adjacent to a a low hedge. In the background at center, the State Building is visible. The building is composed of several rectangular sections, and small rectangular windows line the sides of the structure. Near the top of the building, metallic rods can be seen supporting scaffolding. At the base of the building, a group of men stand near one of the doorways. At least two automobiles can be seen near the men. To the left and right, additional buildings can be seen. A large poster on the building at left reads: "...ate Building".
