Description
This 1911 photograph shows members of the Capital City Wheelmen, Sacramento's most enduring bicycling club. Formed on June 25, 1886, the organization engaged in standard "Club Runs," or country excursions, as well as competitive engagements with clubs in Stockton, San Francisco and San Jose. Club member Mr. M. F. Trebilcox stands below the pennant to the right of the frame, wearing a bow tie.
