Title supplied by cataloger. Opened on July 8th, 1923, this church at 813 S. Hope included a four-story Sunday school building and an auditorium that sat 3,000 visitors. Despite the efforts to protect the structure, it was demolished in 1983. View looking north on Hope Street at 8th Street. Visible are the First United Methodist Church, the Broadway Plaza (later The Bloc), including the Sheraton Grand Hotel, the Aon Center, Central Library, and Security Pacific National Bank Building (later Bank of America). A some portion of the Southern California Gas Company Building is on the left, along with a sign reading ""No public parking. Southern California Gas Co, cars only.""
