Text written under photo: "Looking toward Market Street from O'Farrell & Powell Sts. The tall building on left is the Alcazar Hall building. Taken in February 1905." Text above photo, with arrow: "Original Alcazar Theatre." Written to left, near appropriate building: "Fisher's, where Kolb and Dill first broke in." View looks east on O'Farrell from the corner of Powell. The Call Building can be seen at the end of the street. Fischer's Vaudeville is on O'Farrell near the left, with a sign advertising shows for 10 cents and 20 cents. The store of Lundsted Bros. is at the right. The sidewalks are crowded. The streets are paved in brick. The cable lines of Cal Cable on O'Farrell, and United Railroads on Powell intersect at the left. An O'Farrell Street car is approaching.
