Description
MacArthur Park, created in the 1880's under the name Westlake Park, was later renamed in honor of General Douglas MacArthur. This picture shows a woman walking away from the camera down the pathway around the perimeter of the lake, holding shopping bags. A man on a bench watches, as another man, at extreme right, sits on the grass and looks at the lake.
