Description: This postcard depicts the Coral Canal and the central lagoon built by Abbot Kinney in 1905 in Venice, California to replicated the feeling of Venice, Italy in Southern California. This is now the intersection of Main Street and the Venice Circle. Complete with Venetian style buildings and gondolas, Kinney's Venice of America opened on July 4, 1905.
