The Dominguez-Wilshire Building, located at 5410 Wilshire Boulevard, was built in 1930 and was designed by architects Morgan, Walls and Clements as an eight-story Art Deco (Zig-Zag) Moderne tower on a two-story base. Photographer's caption reads, "The 1930's building, formerly The Flying Saucer Restaurant, was transformed in 1992 into the chain Staples Office Supply store. With the 1930 Dominguez Wilshire Building, they are contrasting backgrounds for a 30-year-resident's 7-minute discourse on the comparison of Billy the Kid ("a good guy") and Al Capone ("a thug, racketeer, murderer.")
