James Baldwin as he delivers an address at Second Baptist Church during his West coast tour, May 10-17, 1963, for the benefit of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE). Due to Baldwin's outspokenness on race relations and sexual orientation, he was a controversial speaker and his address resulted in strong rebuttals and equally strong agreements.
