Description
A mural titled "The Bride and Groom" shows an image of a woman in a bridal dress and a man in a tuxedo and is painted on the north wall of the Victor Clothing Co. building. The five-story mural, painted by artist and muralist Kent Twitchell from 1973-1976, measures 70'h x 70'w and was painted with latex and acrylic on masonry. Carlos Ortiz, then owner of the Monarch Bridal Shop commissioned Bride and Groom for $5,000 when he was a tenant of the building. Monarch's bridal and tuxedo wear was located on the 2nd floor of the building.
