Front view of Maule's Drugs at the drugstore's original site of 551 San Mateo Avenue. Joshua Maule opened his drugstore at the former site of Schmidt's Meat Market in 1922. The family-owned business operated in additional locations on San Mateo Avenue, but closed for business in 1972.
