Photograph caption dated November 7, 1929 reads, "These beautiful silver cups of victory will be awarded by The Evening Herald in the contest of high school orators, to be held Dec. 6. The cup at right will be presented to the winning orator and the one at left, the perpetual trophy of the contest, will go to his school."
