Description
Shown in circa 1900 is K Street, looking west from Ninth Street toward the Post Office and Federal building at Seventh and K streets. In the immediate foreground, and to the right, is the Hale Block, where Hale Brothers' Department Store and the Sacramento Business College reside. The trademark tower of the Federal building looms in the distance, the structure being built in 1894. The postcard's description is in error, indicating that the view looks easterly and from Tenth Street.
