Members of Phi Kappa Sigma, a women's organization at Pomona College. This photograph can also be found on page 140 of the 1932 Pomona College yearbook, "Metate" with this description: "Throughout the past year the members of Phi Kappa Sigma have shared in a variety of enjoyable activities. The year was started by an evening meeting in October and followed next by a formal dinner at the Padua Hills Tea Room for the initiation of new members. During the year attempts have been made to hold bi-monthly meetings, one in th enature of a business meeting and the other in the form of a social program. At each of the meetings, one of the members has presented a review of some recent literary production. The club has enjoyed many such reports. Bridge parties and other types of entertainment have usually finished out the evening's entertainment. In March Phi Kappa Sigma cooperated with Delta Lambda and Alpha Kappa in holding the annual Greek Letter formal, this year given at the Mission Inn at Riverside. Through these activities, Phi Kappa Sigma has attempted to promote and aid the creation of friendly contacts among the women of Pomona". Members are listed as: top row: Cobb, Varnum, Wilson, Taft, Clokey, Tower, FitzGerald; bottom row: Van Etten, Watanabe, Hornung, Leonard, Stevens.
