Photograph of a man standing in the middle of a farm field near Manzanar incarceration camp. The crop looks fully grown, and there is a tractor in the middle left of the photograph. The Sierra Nevada can be seen in the background. The collection was donated by Ralph "Pete" Merritt, Jr. and Patricia Merritt. It is comprised of photographs from an album created by L. Josephine Hawes, the Chief Nurse at the Manzanar Hospital, and individual photographs collected by Ralph P. Merritt, the Project Director of the Manzanar War Relocation Center.
