Photograph caption dated June 23, 1954 reads "Thirty-five hundred spectators, including 600 boys, gave a pre-league sendoff to the 11th annual season of the Tujunga Kiwanis softball league last night. Feature of the program was an exhibition game in which Jackson Paints beat Valley Times, 3-2.
