During their first official visit to Pepperdine University's new Malibu campus, Ronald and Nancy Reagan took part in the dedication of a redwood sapling, which was their contribution to the "Trees for Pepperdine" campaign. Holding a commemorative plaque bearing an owl carved by staff member Bill Youngs from a tree root found on the Malibu campus, Governor Reagan is surrounded by (L to R) Chancellor M.
