Photograph caption dated December 10, 1962 reads, "Banning's Candy Gonzalez roars through a gap in Poly High's line for game-winning touchdown - Gonzalez (22) plunged the ball forward into the endzone to halt the Parrots' city playoff activity Saturday at East Los Angeles." The Los Angeles City high school football finals were held at East Los Angeles City College in Monterey Park.
