Photograph was edited for publication purposes. The Queen of Angeles Hospital existed from 1926-1989, when it merged with Hollywood Clara Barton Memorial Hospital to become the Queen of Angels-Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, later the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Since 1994, The Dream Center, a volunteer driven organization that helps 50,000 individuals and families each month, has occupied the former hospital facility. Photograph caption dated December 28, 1950 reads, "Fastest car rolled past Queen of Angeles Hospital; 20 seconds later it was at Silver Lake Boulevard, end of new link." This is showing the new "link" of the 101 Freeway going over Alvarado Street.
