Photograph caption dated October 18, 1986 reads, "It definitely wasn't business as usual at a Coast Savings branch downtown yesterday after the accelerator stuck on this car and it lurched through the window. No one was hurt seriously in the accident, not even the manager whose desk bore the brunt. he was off for the day. The 79-year-old driver and his wife survived their wild ride with apparently minor injuries. Both passengers and the bank manager said they are just glad to still be alive." This branch is actually located at 1600 N. Vermont in East Hollywood and has since been occupied by different banks, including Chase Bank as of 2009.
