Description
Contains moving images of a vacation through Oregon and Washington, which originated in California. The film begins with images of the ocean and people walking through town to a greyhound bus station. After showing signs for “Lane’s Redwood Flats” the camera cuts to seemingly random pictures before coming back to various shots of the exterior of the “Oregon Cave Chateau” as well as wildlife (chipmunk, deer, etc.) in the surrounding area. The screen cuts out momentarily before showing various parts of the city of Seattle. Significant time is spent showing the botanical gardens and the Seattle Fish & Farmers market. The camera then shows brochures for the cities of Portland and Spokane before transitioning to various scenes throughout both cities. In Spokane people were shown visiting a garden and the Northern Pacific Railroad Station, while in Portland the group of people is shown walking down town past nondescript buildings. The video then changes to a mountainside hotel and shows a group of people riding a ski lift as a St. Bernard plays in the snow. The scene changes once again to Wahkeena Falls in the Mt. Hood Forrest and shows multiple waterfalls and creeks along a nature trail before transitioning again to someone filming from a moving car. At the twenty-four minute mark the video gets very dim, but a number of animals can be seen at what appears to be an unidentified zoo. The video transitions to a large garden party where people are shown mingling and walking through the garden. The video ends abruptly after showing a number of cars parked near an industrial area by a river.
