Photograph caption dated February 14, 1958 reads, "Larry Sharp, Verdugo Hills High School star, was named today on the third team of all-Los Angeles City high school basketball team by the Helms All-Southern California Board of Basketball. Sharp was also named recently as the player of the year for the Northern League."
