Description
Black and white photo of the derailed box cars off to the side of the rails and leaning against the rock cut. Three men are standing on front, two in white shirts and one in a panama hat. In the background are more men with something that may be another car (or part of one). It is partly covered from view by a telephone pole. This view shows the bent sections of track. The cars are labeled: D. [and] R. G. [Denver & Rio Grande]. Inscribed on the backside: Near MP 222 W.P.R.R. circa 1910-15, rerailing locomotive.
