Description: Two ladies stand on the base of the Astronomers Monument, designed by Archibald Garner, located on the front lawn of Griffith Observatory. Around the base of the monument are the likenesses of 6 astronomers-- Hipparchus, Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Newton and Herschel. On the hills in the background you can see the sign for 'Hollywoodland'. Similar to image 00057251.
