4 images. "Duffy Day", 26 October 1951. Captain George E. Duffy.
Supplementary material reads: "Gershon. City desk. Illus. Duffy Day. 40 years service in the Navy and still going strong! Captain George E. Duffy, Commanding Officer, Naval Supply Depot, San Pedro, is shown walking from rostrum between rows of Minute Man "Sideboys and Girls" in imitation of being piped over side. He had just completed thanking employees for "Duffy Day" and their being the first Naval Supply Depot to subscribe 100 percent to the Defense Bond drive".
