Ann Arbor, Mich.: Miss Amalya Kearse, 24, presently in her final year of law school at the University of Michigan, will become the first Negro lawyer for the New York Wall Street firm of Hughes, Hubbard Blair and Reed. A spokesman for the firm said Miss Kearse had been selected for her 'very excellent' record.
