Photograph shows Chico's new fire station showing three fire engines, ca. 1939. Located on the east side of Main Street between 4th and 5th Streets, Chico, California. This building replaced the first fire station on Second Street. The firemen lived on the second floor. Note the railroad tracks in the street. You can see the "City Hall Garage" to the south of the fire station.
