MacArthur Park, created in the 1880's under the name Westlake Park, was later renamed in honor of General Douglas MacArthur. This photograph shows three women and two men taking a ride on a "dippy boat" on the lake in MacArthur Park. A small sign is visible on a pole in the boat which reads "J. Goldman's Dippy Boat." Circa 1920s.
