Description: Image of a sitting room in an unidentified California house with Arts and Crafts style interior and Strowger dial telephone. There are furnishings, ceiling lamp, books in a bookcase, and framed photographs.
Title devised by cataloger; date range approximated by cataloger based on the year this particular telephone came into use and the latest known dates indicated for other Hazard images in the Huntington's collection. Strowger dial phone, created by the Automatic Electric Company Chicago in approximately 1901, is seen in the bottom left of image. General location determined by cataloger based on the range of identified locations for other George Hazard photographs in this collection.
