Description
Photograph of a steam locomotive passing in front of the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot in Stockton, ca.1900. The train is at left and consists of a large steam engine pulling three long cars. The tracks that it is on run parallel to an empty set of tracks at left. The depot buildings are at center and right and are large, single-story wooden buildings with steeply sloped roofs. A sign on the building in the middle says "Stockton". There are many people visible, as well as an early model automobile and horse-drawn vehicles. A tree is in the foreground at right.
