Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Edward G. Robinson, Jr. was born on March 19, 1933 in Los Angeles. He was the son of legendary actor Edward G. Robinson and actress Gladys Lloyd. He was an actor, appearing in a few films and on television series. Robinson, Jr. lead a troubled life and was known for being a playboy. He started drinking as a teenager and got into trouble with the law numerous times after becoming an adult. He eloped at the age of 19, had a daughter, and was divorced a few years later. He was arrested multiple times for charges including check fraud, drunken driving, and assault and robbery. He married twice more and died of a heart attack on February 26, 1974. Photograph caption dated July 20, 1954 reads "Nabbed as armed robbery suspect, he was later bailed out by his famous movie actor father." Robinson is shown behind bars in the Los Angeles County Jail. He was identified by two taxi drivers as the armed man who robbed them, one at gunpoint. He was released on bail and later, the jury in his trial could not reach a decision.
