County Librarian Virginia Keating, and Perry McDonald, who was in charge of the school department of the library, pose with the newly-established Marin County Free Library Bookmobile, October 1, 1948. This bookmobile was a customized 1938 Dodge one-ton truck which serviced library materials to schools and many areas remote from library facilities.
