Photograph caption dated August 10, 1956 reads, "Jo Gore, 14, 330 N. Avon St., Burbank, discovers only 'bear' in Big Bear City on her mountain vacation. Jo, treasurer of Burbank Youth Coordinating Council, spent two weeks at 'rim of world' resort with 12-year old brother Ken, and parents."
