Description
This sidewalk photograph, along Tenth Street, between N Street and Capitol Avenue, was taken in circa 1933. The most immediate structure to the left is Library and Courts Building, while visible in the distance is the Classical-style facade of State Office Building Number One. Built in 1927/28, both Capitol Extension buildings had been in the works since prior to the First World War. California Western State Life Insurance Building looms beyond the first lamp post.
