Description
A child's sized, silver-colored metal xauv or paug (necklace) from Xieng Khouang province in Laos. This style of xauv or paug is defined by its thick round collar and chains, with several layers of varying lengths that connect in the center via three lock-shaped plates. This specific xauv has an added star pendant. Identified by the Southeast Asia Community Resource Center as originating in a Thai refugee camp. Original title from SEACRC: HMong Necklace # 1
